Developing Happy Children

Through a hands on experience and sensory approach, we encourage our younger children “baby bambinos” to develop their independence, confidence and mobility using a variety of activities such as heuristic play, singing songs and music times, cooking, outdoor play and co-ordination activities are always present in your child’s learning and progression.

Our Vision

When children turn the age of 3, they move to a different stage of their learning: the pre-school phase of nursery. Our Curriculum is based on the Montessori philosophy and principles, guided by the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). In addition, we also recognise the importance of the outdoor experience as a fundamental part of a child’s learning evolution. Moreover, the childcare is cautiously balanced between the time to be active, time to play and be noisy, time to be quiet, time to listen and time to rest. Based on careful observation of each unique child and rigorous planning, the curriculum is child lead to meet the needs of every child.

Mind-opening Experiences, Unlimited Possibilities

The children experience seven broad areas of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language Development; Literacy Skills; Mathematical Development; Understanding the World; Physical Development; Expressive Arts and Design.

EYFS

Benets Bambinos is a registered early years childminder setting, and as such we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The 7 key areas of learning in the EYFS are:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Literacy
  • Mathematical Development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the World
  • Physical Development
  • Expressive arts and design

Learn & Play

Our aim at Benets Bambinos is to develop and teach children to become engaged & confident learners. Each key learning area of the EYFS is explored to prepare them for the future, especially pre-school – to help them become bright, alert and well-rounded children. We learn through play, but learn fundamental literacy and numeracy skills, tolerance, respect, and being kind to one another.

Parents Partnership

We value parents’ involvement in the nursery and their child’s development with us.

Parents are the child’s primary educator and it is essential that they build a strong and close relationship with us – the partnership between home and nursery is paramount to the child’s learning.

We feel an honest and open communication between parents and staff is fundamental for a happy child and healthy school. Parents will be able to monitor their child’s progress through their developmental profile, which is available to them at all times.

Who We Are

Janny Ribeiro Mendes

Janny Ribeiro Mendes

Having been brought up in a big family, I have always been used to strong family ties. I have two children of my own so I know how important a warm loving environment promotes stable development. As a parent we need to know that our children are in safe hands as well as relying on people we can trust to ensure their educational, physical, emotional and social needs are met. For these reasons, I decided to get more involved in children’s learning by acquiring a Childminder Level 3 qualification. These are the values I shall be using to ensure that your child gets all the love, care and support needed for him/her to thrive. I look forward to working with and for your child soon.

What parent’s are saying

“Not only are there planned extra activities including dance classes and trips to the market, there is clearly a very organised and well thought through activity plan that the children love getting involved with. The arts and crafts they do is absolutely fantastic and so varied.
